1996 Bose System Value
I am installing a new aftermarket stereo in my wife's 1996 CE. The car has a Bose Gold CD/Cassette system in it now. It is complete and everything works. What would this system be worth? Would there be any interest in this system?

There probably is interest in the system. Contrary to popular belief I think the Bose systems are decent...when working correctly...and a lot of people like to keep the stock look in their cars. The biggest problem with the Bose systems is each speaker has a amp and the capacitors tend to lose capacitance properties or fail completely over time. Because of the latter the system as a whole ends up sounding like crap!
I'm thinking you can still get $150+ for a working system. Remember to sell the complete system so you need to pull the CDM tuner in the compartment behind the passenger seat as well.

I am installing a Pioneer FH-X730BS stereo with a Alpine amp with 6X9's in the rear and 6" speakers in the front floor rails with separate tweeters. The system was in her 93 coupe that was run over by a dump truck back in February.

The system did sound good. Here in Ga they have passed a hands free bill, so you are not supposed to have your cell phone in your hand at all and she was missing her blue tooth.
