I purchased a set of outer window wipes for my 1984 corvette from Corvette Mods a few weeks ago. I have contacted them already but I would like to know if anyone has run into this problem. It is that my original wipes are longer than the ones they sent me by close to 3/4". All the clips and holes line up from front to back except the last hole for the pop rivet. The complete rear portion of the wipe is 3/4" too short. I sent several photos of the problem. Most vendors get their parts from other sources and that is the same with Corvette Mods. They are nice about it except that I hear a "but" in their voices when they try to find what the problem might be.
I think all the door lengths are the same from 84 to 96. So I don't see how mine could be shorter except for just a bad batch of wipes cut for them. Anyone run into this problem?

Both sides are short by the same amount. It may look shorter that 3/4" but that is because of the photo angle. Like I said. All the clips and rivet holes match up to the last hole and length being shorter.
I hate to bring back a post that is over a year old, but I also ran into an issue with my 1984 window seals not fitting properly. A friend of mine gave me a drivers side seal/sweep from Corvette Central and on their website it specifically says they DO NOT fit early 1984. So where do I get the proper seals being that my 1984 was manufactured in January 1984. None of the clips line up with the holes in the door.
