Info on my wheels.
Can anyone out there tell me if there where two rims for 88? I got my corvette black book today and they show the rims I have on my car on the 89. I like the ones off of the 88 better. Did they only put those style rims on early 88s and then on the later ones put the 89 style, or do I just have 89 rims on mine? :cheers:

The 17" 89 style rims were available in 88. But the standard wheel was 16".

If you read the 6th paragraph on the 1988 page, it explains that the 17" came with Z51 and Z52. Paragraph 5 states that the 16" was standard.
Apparently only 5000 or so came with the 16" wheels.

88 is the only year with both 16" and 17" wheels.
The 35th Anniversary Edition wheels were painted white.
If you include Callaway they had another wheel design too.
