Yup! That has often been my experience too. DIVIDE AND ELIMINATE! One has to be able to isolate each circuit and verify them individually to ferret out the root cause. Start with the fusible links - disconnecting them individually and then seeing if the problem goes a way OR NOT. Then move onto the fuse panels. (AND, FWIW, I don't hold much confidence in those "after market" tech manuals. I find them to be a "mixed bag"; better than nothing sometimes, but not always keyed to the specific model and year, I find - and that can send you down a rat-hole (wrong direction) that will waste a LOT of time...trust me.)

When things get really frustrating...I find it best to stop right there and take a break. Maybe even come back the next day. Keep note of what the various test results were and under what conditions. Good luck!
