I just finished entering my car in the Bloomington Gold judging event. To prepare for the event I bought original Goodyear Gatorback tires dated 7/88. Now that it is over, I want to store those tires for a long period of time as I do not see myself going back any time soon. Should I store the tires off the rims or leave them on the rims? I will be placing them in a climate controlled room and will be using black leaf bags to store them in with the air vacuumed out. Will the rims damage them if I leave them on? Thanks for your help.
I would have them filled with nitrogen. Store them away from sunlight. No point to dismount, there's a chance of damaging tire every time its mounted or dismounted.

Yes, Kevova is correct. Put them in a plastic bag and stack them. You are good for years.
