I didn't notice this for a while after I bought my '93 ruby red last year... The corner sections of the front bumper is ruby red & I've noticed that most C4 front bumpers that year (and newer) are black, not the body color. Does this mean my front bumper has been replaced and/or repainted?
But, is that true also for the 93 RUBY anniversary cars? No exception?
I just did some quick google images searches and that appears to be correct. All of the 96 cars have color matched corners while anything older is black. This includes all of the rubys I could find, including the one pulled from the sinkhole at the Vette museum.
Thanks. Everything I've seen so far makes it appear that it's a quality job. The lines for the fender, hood, lights all look good. I don't see anything else that indicates any other part has been painted but I'll do some more searching...
Being repainted isn’t a bad thing, unless your trying to preserve the car for some kind of collector/original car show status. Otherwise, if it looks good than be happy it was fixed properly!
