New owner here from Mich. Wife and did the Woodward Dream Cruise. Was a blast. I have a 1996 Collectors Edition with 44,000 miles. Don't know if the PO ever did a brake flush ,but on a 22 year old car I'm doing it. Does anyone on the list use non ethanol gas in there Vette? Were can you buy it in the Novi,Detroit area? I really don't want to store it this winter with ethanol gas. What is the opinion of the list in regards the crap gas we now have to buy? I restored and had motorcycles. Used race gas in all the bikes as I didn't ride much on the street. But race gas is to expensive to fill up my car.
Get a set of speed bleeders, it makes bleeding brakes so easy. right front, right rear, left rear, left front.
Goto Summit Racing, get a set of 4 of the Russel 639630 Speed Bleeders - and replace the stock bleeders with this "upgrade".
Also, I recommend getting a Mitivac speed bleeder bottle kit.
The bottle can be filled with brake fluid and mounted on the appropriate brake reservoir. So, when you bleed the brake lines and calipers, the bottle keeps the reservoir filled so you don't have to keep running back and forth to fill it (or worse...end up sucking AIR into the brake lines...adding to your task at hand.
With the combo of the bleeders and the Mitivac, the time I used to spend bleeding brakes was cut to maybe 10 minutes(?) except for pulling and remounting the wheels.

I have 5 cars so I got the Motive Power one. Clamps on with the right adapter to the 3 MBs, 1 Ford and a generic one for the C4. Pressurize, open bleeder till clear, repeat for all 3 corners. You should be bleeding them every couple of years. Mine just got gunky because I didn't do it earlier this year as I usually do

Flushing brakes is easy but a bit time consuming, I do it every 3 years and get a buddy to pump the pedal for me, then I treat us to lunch. I hear speed bleeders are awesome but have never used them.
Regarding your fuel storage question, you will be OK doing seasonal storage with E10 if you add some fuel stabilizer. I think it's a much easier (and perhaps more effective) solution than seeking out E0 and not using any stabilizer. Stabilizer is definitely worth the small investment, in my opinion, because my dirt bikes are used seasonally.

Your biggest issue will be the ethanol eating the injectors. Next is that they will have a little less energy. Finally, storage is done with Stabil or whatever stabilizer they have there. I wouldn't worry about the ethanol in the gas. I would dump the injectors if they are Multecs and they can stand any gas without forcing me to be at one gas station or the other. Now I fill up at any station instead of having to run to some inconvenient place 20 minutes north of me to fill up

Thanks to all for the replies. I'm getting the brakes flushed ,also found ethanol free gas 5 miles from my house. Will be using it from now on.

I use Stabil in my gas during winter storage, no problems. Also replaced my injectors and fuel pressure regulator diaphragm. Yes the ethanol eats the old parts.

But what happens when you have to fill up and you aren't there? Is it worth the trouble to keep the Multecs? I have pure gas 20 minutes north of my house. I don't hardly go in that direction. My old house had it right outside but I might not be there when I need to fill. I don't like to keep myself hostage to that station hence the suggestion.

Not sure about the rest of the parts but because the coil is fuel cooled in Multec injectors and it wasn't designed with ethanol in mind, they are susceptible to having the insulation dissolved. Not sure about the diaphragm or the fuel hoses.

What are the stock injectors in my Corvette? My car is all original with only 44,000 miles.
Which ones do you have? If you have Multec, ask Fuel Injection Connection for a rebuilt set so you can go anywhere you want to fill up and not be stuck with one spot. https://fuelinjectorconnection.com/
