Default Wheel well panels

Hi ,
i need a little bit of assistance. The c4 basket case I bought is finally coming together and is running eventually so now I am trying to put back missing parts to the puzzle.
I bought from eBay the panels that fit between the wheel wells and around the shocks . According to the seller they are for an 88 model C4 but they do not seem to line up with the other panels . Has anyone a picture of how these assemble? Or the breakdown out of the assembly manual. I hope the panels I bought are correct .

Thanks for any help guys

john

The 10137297 casting is '88+ BUT the reference below it 10137299 is for later FX3. I would have thought that difference wouldn't have created basic mounting issues. How about using a 'tire crayon' or marker to mark the holes locations where you have issues. Also I'd think post casting numbers (no need for pictures) of the adjacent panels. You bought all 6 panels (both sides) from various sellers or just the centers OR just this particular one.

Your location I'd say is certainly a handicap for parts sourcing.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.
When i bought the car here in SA all of the engine apart from the big end was in the trunk along with a few bolts and nuts so it was quite a nice puzzle to assemble. Someone removed the top sections of the inner wheel wells that join the front wheel well to the rear over the shock assembly so i was never really sure of what the correct part number or the part itself would look like. The two parts i have purchased do not seem to align in anyway at all as there are stiffener section which clash and the slotted holes do not align with wheel tubs.
I have to assume that the parts i have bought are incorrect but without a picture or the relevant page of the assembly manual its difficult to determine if its me being stupid or the wrong parts
Your 100% correct its not such an easy task acquiring parts this side of the world and if you do order the wrong ones you just put them in a cupboard because its not worth trying to send them back..

Thanks for all the assistance, always appreciated.

The 10276504 is what I'd expect to see on an '88 RH panel.

** but very likely produced later in C4 production. There are notes for the LH panel that matches that production. 10276503 that there would be holes required to be drilled when using on '92 and earlier production.

I found an older GM SPO Catalog here that makes it appear that '88 original panels would likely have been cast and serviced as 14104003 and 14104004

Hi,

Just want to thank you for all the effort that you have gone to.
I will revisit the problem this weekend and see if i cant take a picture of the way the panels are fitting and maybe the members can make comments.

Thanks again,

John
