Good Morning All, hate posting this, But I've spent 2hrs looking for a video on removing the DASH PAD--so I can remove BREAD BOX and install the Flat replacement panel, I'm sure there's a video somewhere, I have a FSM and it says there is 5 screws for Dash Pad----but does not show were they are, any help Appreciated
I removed my bread box over 20 years ago, and didn't need pull the dash cover, center console to get to the screws, and if I remember I pulled it back, and there was metal bracket I cut.
It took lot of time, but it looked lot better then what it was, also installed Burwood dash kit.
When I removed the bread box on my 84 I did not have to remove the dash pad. IIRC there were three screws in the center above the radio bezel and one on each end R & L side and two in the defroster outlet up by the windshield. Then just pulled it to the rear of the car and removed the pad. My car was not a Bose stereo equipped car and had speakers in the dashpad.
I removed the dash pad at another time to refinish it and replace the speaker grills and speakers attached to the dash pad.
