My sons 93 Vette’s Interior lights stay on WAY too long killing the car battery. To my understanding they are supposed to shut off after 10 minutes. But remain on, even after the car is started and in gear. The door switches seem to be working fine, and the door ajar light also functions properly. We have also checked the door lock switches and they appear fine, From what I’ve read their lights are controlled by the CCM on 93-96?
Anyone have any feed feed back it would be appreaciated!
Yes, they should turn off in 10 minutes if one door is open. Did you guys leave the dim adjuster all the way up? Other two things I can think of, door switch thing(I know you say it works, but test again) or a short.
Dimmer switch is fine and not in the way n position. But after comparing his 93 to my 94, his door lock switch is not turning the lights on at all compared to turning the door lock key on my 94 and the lights coming on. So at least we are narrowing it down to the door lock switch. We might pull the fuses for now and pull the door panel on another day and go through the wires. It’s got to be a bad wire or the key switch in the door. I hope.....
Try this. Lock doors from the inside if the car, and close the passenger door last. I have found that closing the passenger last, always makes them turn off quicker. If that doesn't work, pull the fuse till you guys find the cause.

The light system is very and overly complex. You will go crazy trying to find the problem so just pull the fuse. you may also have to pull the 2 hatch lights bulbs which also come on. By the way LCM module will still draw about a third of an amp for 15 minutes(maybe 10) . That's why I disconnect the battery every time I put the car away.. Contact me if you need to know which fuse to pull.
