hullo to all i am from Australia and i am new to this amazing site so much info ! i have 89 corvette white and i would like to find the paint code so i can paint corvette cover thats on the front bumper to match where should i be looking to find the code ? thanks guys
look at your SPID sticker - IIRC, should be under the console lid on your 89. most likely it's listed as upper and lower (U or L). anyway, you should be able to figure it out. example --

White will be a 'very' difficult match. Do you know if the paint is original or maybe a recent 'repaint'? Have a discussion with a local refinishing supplier or paint shop to discuss it.

You need the "WA" number, not the RPO code for mixing paint. RPO codes are used over and over, WA codes are for a specific formula. RPO 10 and 11 have been "white" on GM-everything for about 40 years. There are probably hundreds of formulas for "white".
- GM's first use of code "10" was in 1936, and the color was "harlequin tan." the first use of the number 10 associated with the color white was with the 1987 corvette, and GM "white/10" continues through into 2018. "10" is a GM color identifier, and is more associated with make/model/year. it has nothing to do with the actual paint formula. anytime I need a pint for touch-up, I always give the "WA" number to my paint supplier.
big thanks to every one who helped with this i found out last night to look under the arm rest and theres a big white label on the inside which i did not see from the drivers seat because the car is now a right hand driver and as joe c pointed out to where the paint code is and a very helpful link so i now know the missing link and the paint code is WA9567 thanks
I’m glad you found it. I should have known better, but I only had my Black Book handy at the time and it doesn’t list the WA codes. My SPID label is under the rear compartment door and lists the WA number there.
