I have a late model 86 with the original delco/bose cassette player/radio. I am replacing it. My question is concerning this whole Bose system thing. I see that the early 86 model has an amplifier for Bose. I see nothing like that in the late model. Can someone explain this to me please.
Thank you,
DL
I believe the 86-89 systems (Delco/Bose) were all pretty much interchangeable. I have a convertible 86 and it is the typical setup of head unit and amps in each speaker.
ripped it all out and ran new wires with pioneer speekers and a single din head with the storage slot underneath and a backup cam built into the single din. works great and it has minimal cheome accents so doesnt look overly gawdy or out of place.
the bose amps are mounted on each speaker. no main amp.
