Default Convertible Deck Lid

I thought I would share my fun weekend experience on my 1990 Convertible with the top down/stored.
I went to open the deck lid and all I was getting was the solenoid clicking sound.
This had happened before and I thought I had fixed it. What happened was the latch mechanism that has 2 round pins the solenoid cable and emergency cable attache to, the locking washer had come off the top pin which allowed all of the cables came off..
What I ended up having to do was remove the 2 13mm nuts that attach the latch bar to the deck lid to gain access to the area, very tight with the top down.
I added and extra lock washer this time to maybe prevent it from working off.
I wanted to share this in hopes it would help anyone else and remind myself of the remedy..
Attached are pictures of before and after of the latch area.

Also thank you very much to all of the member contributors as you have helped me considerably with my family's wonderful corvette.

You also might want inspect the latch when you open and close the deck lid.to make sure the lock washers and white plastic bushing are secure.
