Black Scorpion Corvette

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I wonder how much it sold for? Black Scorpion the tv series was cancelled after 1 season & the Black Scorpion Corvette went up for sale online listed "as is" for $18k USD. If the show or films were any good perhaps it might have been considered valuable as a piece of Hollywood memorabilia.
This was back in 2004 and this Corvette had been sitting in the studio parking lot for years, neglected & left abandoned, collecting dust and rust. It was in rough shape then and no longer drive-able. Appears like there was extra stuff on the back in this photo? Perhaps removed or unable to save whatever this cylinder tube things? I guess this person bought it, and tried to restore it. I wonder if the work was like that for the TV series or if that was THEIR restoration doing? I'll post the 2004 photos later. So this C4 Corvette is what year? This 2019 finished product is a 10 x 10 car. When you see it from 10 feet away going past you at 10mph it looks pretty good, but standing still for closer examination reveals all its flaws. I give the person credit for at least trying to bring it back to life. I wonder what they paid for it? Hopefully they got it at an auction and just trying to re-coop their initial investment or whatever they put into it? The Black Scorpion TV show was inspired from the 66 campy Batman but not as good. Other thing I wonder about this Black Scorpion Mobile is the INTERIOR? No shots of that? The TV show had all these gadgets. I wonder if this vehicle actually had any of that stuff in it. Functional or not, or is the interior simply just stock?

They only showed it at night so you could never get a good look at the Corvette. Here's some more stills from the TV show.
It was a cheezy TV show, and 2 cheezy movies so why would you think the car wouldn't be cheezy too? It's a combination of Knight Rider and the Batmboile (sort of)?
I guess to me, it was just such a big disappointment. I was hoping it to be cooler than it actually was.

Also, what is going on with under the door? Many of the seems appear to not line up? Where are the door handles too, how do you open the door to enter car?
Was this really a 1988 Corvette once that used to look like this?
