Got the car back this morning, and sadly missed Skyline. I had a few things repaired and am VERY pleased with the quality of the work, the professionalism, and the knowledge they have.
I was told they would probably be able to do the opti, waterpump, plugs and wires but anything else would be on another day. I got a call saying the car was done (literally!). Below is what they did:
My total outlay for parts and labor was $1500. This should cover most of the maintenance items that needed replacing and I dont think anything else needs to be replaced on a 65k mile car.
ALSO, to those I was supposed to report back to, they did not get a chance to check out the noise coming from the rear. That will be done on a later date when they find out whats wrong with my antenna as well.
As for how it performs now? Leaving their shop, I ran across a L98 with CA plates. We played around a little bit but the car pulled a LOT harder up top than it did before and the miss is now gone!
November 9 is the next track day, come on low 13's !!!!!!!!!!!!
Good to know.
I am now living not even 5 minutes from Coopers right now.
I did swing by the other day to just get my vette fix, since my ZR-1 is packed away for the winter.

...You are welcome
I have dealt w/ these folks since the Wilbar & Arnold days and know how much care that Tom McGrath puts forth in his work. One of the Co-owners had a 415 ZR1 as well as a 406 hardtop Vert that was quite a terror!!!
If I had a ZR1, I would take it to them, or "DAM GARAGE" on US RT1 where the owner has a 40th ZR1 - ask for Dave, they are in the phone book and are behind Smitty's lumber. There are other places too, referances avail. (but you gotta buy me lunch!!!) :seeya
I cant thank you enough for the reference! I was very impressed with the way they run the shop. And if your referring to the gentleman out front who has the ZR1, I talked to him a little bit also. He does have a Lingenfelter 415 that runs high 11's in the quarter with @ 600hp. I am sure that is with the tires completely blazing off! :)
I will be having them do my heads/cam install when the time comes, along with my converter and D44 swap.
As for lunch, let me know when your ready!
The car is back in again today, getting some more things done before racing on Saturday. No performance mods just maintenance. It was funny when I walked in, Tom was standing there and said "Morning Mike, come on back paperwork is ready". :D
Hopefully I can get the car back today, or since I am off tomorrow, first thing in the morning.
Got the car back, transmission is being replaced as I made one full throttle pass on the street and blew out first gear and overdrive. Ooops. Well, a new Yank Sportsman Pro trans is going in this week (hopefully) and I can get back to racing!
