Well he called out my 35th, so I have that going for me, but I don't see it as an "investment". It's just a car I decided 20+ years ago that I wanted.
I know the fox body Mustangs are popular because of all the aftermarket stuff that can be done to them, but never understood the appeal because of the boxy styling caompared to, say, the Thunderbird Turbos or Mark VII LSC.
No love for 3rd gen F-bodies? Seems like most of the ones I see on the road are pretty worn out.

If you want I can post an article that specifically names the 35th anniversary vette as one of the top 10 worst vettes.
Point is these are dummies just writing content just, because they get paid on output, not content, context, or quality.
These ***** don't matter, but edmunds is a place some content might be taken as value unfortunately.
Nothing new there, values on rare C4's (GS, ZR1, etc) have been on the rise for a few years now. But the fact of the matter is "normal mileage" regular production C4's are still worth more parted out than they are as a whole car. Same thing happened to prior generations as well, it's just that so many C4's were produced it's going to take a lot longer for values to rise.

I keep hearing this but,in my area at least, it’s rare to see a C4. I see 10 or more C7s to every one C4, pretty much the same for C5s & 6s. In the past year I’ve seen less than 10 round tail light C4s in the wild.

Went onto 1 site, cargurus, searched corvette 84-96, 25mile radius, 29 listings. I live in NE PA, and that isn't even close to being "rare". In fact, I searched "camaro" same model years & radius, no results.

I’m not doubting you but in my area, north GA-s.e. TN, I’ve literally seen less than 20 C4s (less than 10 ‘84-90 C4s) in the past year. I’m looking for them too since I now own one. I see more C3s & you can’t throw a rock without hitting a C7. I’ve been to 6 or 7 Cars & Coffees so far this year & my C4 was the only one there each time.
PS... it must be a regional thing. I did the same thing you did, I went to car gurus & searched for 1984 through 1996 Corvette within 50 miles of my zip. Only 3 came up.

Last weekend we had our Fall Color Run, attended by around 200 Vettes. I think I saw around 4-5 C4's in the mix and only a dozen or so cars were older than C5's. I was amazed there were so few of the older Vettes present. By the way, we got snowed on when heading home on Sunday! They don't melt but I wonder how some of the newer ones with little to no tread on their tires handled it?
Couldn’t care less what people think about the C4. It’s what saved the Corvette. I’ve had my 88 35th for over 17 years and still think it’s one of the most visually striking C4’s out there. Yup it’s pretty much the 80’s written all over it. Funny thing is as time goes on and people feel the C4 is worthless, one day there won’t be many good ones left and the prices may nudge up a bit. The 35th ( least produced Anniversary Corvette produced) Challenge, Callaway, Pace Cars, LT4, GS and ZR-1’s are the C4’s that may be worth something one day. Never know clean original 84’s may move up as well. It’s the car that started it all.
If if they don’t go up doesn’t matter to me as I still enjoy the car.
