Default Timing?

So! I posted a couple days ago about the balencer, now I'm at the timing set.
Does anyone who lives local to Orange County have the tools, knowledge, and patience to teach me how to set timing?
I got the old set off pretty easy, but putting it on is where I don't know what I'm doing, and while part of me says ''it's only a few bucks, get a new one" another part of me says "you're still in school and don't have the money for the parts you definitely NEED, don't get a new set unless you need it". Can I reuse a timing set that looks like this?

Thanks,
-DJ

Watch this , also to put the bottom gear on You just align as in video and tap ,tap, with a small hammer and I used a ratchet ext or something . When you get it all the way
down it will be a solid tap tap. Side to side and tranny fluid on the crank for ease.
I would not put the nylon gear back, I put a double roller melling(https://www.pepboys.com/melling-high...HV?quantity=1#), not sure if it is double , they are not expensive and all metal. Even a single metal gear would be much better, whoever came up with the idea that nylon would be quieter is smoking something. Here is a good one also
Good luck

My thought when getting it off was 'what the f*ck? Who made a plastic timing sprocket?'
As for the videos, I watched that first one already, and I don't get how to get the cam in the right spot before linking it to the crank....Like..how do you know where the lobes are? I know there's a tool set to do it, but is there an option that doesn't need me to find the lobes? Is the fourth(kinds fifth) hole on the cam sprocket mount an indicator?
I don't know a lot, and I don't have money to screw this up, so I'm reeeeally hesitant to do ANYTHING.

If you turned the camshaft around I am not sure how you know other than the small hole on the cam needs to be to 3 oclock.
I just removed and replaced being sure not to move anything.

Just went and looked at the thing, and there are the three bolt holes and then the stub the locate it....the stub is at nine o'clock and one of the bolt holes is opposite at three.... should I just take it out and stick it in the right way? I know at least on thing made it down the lifter holes, and I got that out, but I don't know if there were others....
