Ive got the Lingenfelter book, its descriptive enough, but id like something much more technical about the SBC in general. Anybody got any ideas?

There was an old one written by Smokey Yunick that was VERY informative........ then Bill Jenkins wrote one too that was awsome ..... as for general basic tech stuff there are lots of generic ones like the texts that we use here in school .......... just depends on what you are looking for.... :seeya

I've got a couple good ones, but my books are still packed from a recent move (like April!) and I can't find them.
If you are near a Barnes and Noble or Borders, browse the Transportation section. Otherwise do a search at amazon.com.

You're on the right track.
As stated above, head for Barnes and Noble.
You may have to sort through these for what you want:
Something like: "Rebuilding SBC"
and "SBC Interchange or SBC by the Numbers" The books designed around interchange will have lots of information about changes in various castings etc.
Might add to your body of knowledge.

OMG, love that book! Explained everything that I've wanted to know (or don't want to know, but wants an experienced mech to fix!) Great book!
