Just received replacement carpets for my 1996 Corvette from "Factory Interiors". Major disappointment. The carpet is barely formed for the vehicle and no holes for the speakers or other areas needing a cutout.. Major disappointment!

Why did you buy from them. Regardless, the brand you bought was ACC and they are the main manufacturer for corvette. They are certainly formed for the car. There are never speaker cut outs.

I agree with Cruisinfanatic!
I have been doing automotive upholstery for a long time (10+ years full time, 30+ years part time)
Did you get the mass backing on it?
Or any of the "jute" padding behind it?
The "jute" holds all that fragrance from getting wet and such. The mass backing will hold moisture from getting to the padding and hold the carpet together longer.
If it is a precut kit - there is no guarantee of exactly where the speakers are going to be located - that is why there are no cut outs.
As an example: I have the Bose speakers in my vert. They will not be in the door panels when I replace the carpet. I do not want the cut outs.
Just take your old carpet and place it on the new piece and with a piece of chalk outline where you have to cut.
Good luck with your install< if that is what you choose to do.
Am doing mine now (89 coupe) no there are not speaker cut outs nor any other holes, you have patterns and must trim and make everything work for your particular car. There are minor differences from year to year so they can not make an exact fit for each year, the cost would be to great. I bought the cheapest carpet Rock Auto had and am not disappointed with the quality, in fact I was quite impressed, and yes it came from ACC.
I got a set of ACC for my 84 from Rock Auto. I thought the price was great and the fitment was good. I did have to cut out for the speakers in the rear as stated by other posts above. It was formed well and needed some trimming as I expected. I would buy from Acc again. I also used 3M spray adhesive in some places as well.
No it was not just a plug and play operation. It did require some work to install which I think was well worth it. Good luck getting your situation resolved.

I will say this. When I called around for install price several people who were corvette shops told me that non ACC might cost more for labor because it was potentially harder to do.
