I hit two deer with my 96 coupe. The first deer I hit at night on Snowden Parkway in Columbia, Md. of all places. It came across at an angle hitting just in front of the left front wheel taking out the headlight assembly and left stress cracks on the side of the hood. I had it fixed by Tommy at the Corvette Haven. He argued for a new hood but the Allstate adjuster said no. The adjuster was at the Corvette Haven when Tommy was about to buff it. Right before his eyes the stress cracks came back and I got a new hood. Tommy told me he hates working on C4's saying it's not like working on C1, C2, and C3 cars. The panels are thinner and easy for stress cracks to reappear. The cracks didn't look that bad. The deer was killed
The next one I was less than a quarter mile from my house. It was night and I was doing about 50 when it ran into the left side right at the battery area. It defecated down the drivers door as it was spun around. It ran into the woods. The left lower side fender was broken needing replacement and some paint work on the side of the hood but no cracks. This car just seemed to be a magnet for deer. It was artic white so not like it was hard to see at night. I could understand hitting a deer around my home. It's pretty much all farm land. But Snowden Parkway I still don't know where that one came from. It's nothing but shopping area after shopping area. Anyway good luck with your repairs.

yep this is the second one for me as well. The first one hit my drivers door and did no damage other than pulling the mirror out which I popped back in.
this one however has caused some trouble. I live in a rural area as well.
Seeing your headlights reminded me of when I hit a deer in my '94.
I came over a hill and there was a deer standing in my lane. I missed him, but a second one jumped out and I hit it at about 65 mph. He came over the hood, demolished the headlights and flipped over the roof. (the deer never moved again)
My headlights were gone. I actually couldn't find most of the pieces. But I am glad they took so much of the impact and flipped him up over the roof, otherwise he would have come right through the windshield.
Yours looks to be less damage than mine, but mine was about $5000 dollars at the first shop. The adjuster said it looked better with the damage than after the first shop and set me up with another shop that did a nice job.
That's a huge concern. There's a ridiculous amount of deer where we live. I've hit three in my Jeep and the Mrs. has hit two in her Challenger. I keep my fingers crossed every time I take the Corvette out.
I tell people, "We have three road hazards here. Deer, turkey and bicycles. Only one of them has an attorney."
