Oil testing engine

Who makes the best test kit for sampling of oil? Is there something i can rig up at home?

Why? If you suspect a problem you can talk to a local big truck garage and see who they use and if they can help you out

WHY do you want your oil tested? do you suspect a problem or having issues? no flames - just curious.

On the return galley saw shining substance when focused with Led light. Note this was with valve cover removed. Thought good time to investigate any future problems.

Any CAT dealer can sell you an oil sample kit. price includes testing results.

Blackstone Labs is considered the go-to for UOA's. If there's any abnormal wear in the engine, it'll show up in the results, assuming that something is self destructing in there. It's not perfect mind you, rather just one indicator of what's going on.
