Default Another Bose question...

Sorry about all the questions but here’s another one. These 2 speaker wires appear to be coming from the Bose amp. I put a multimeter on them after turning on the radio & it showed voltage. Now, before I buy 2 Bose speakers, does the voltage show that the amp is working?

Looks like the amp is "working" though the real test is to connect a speaker.

I was afraid of that. Would any speaker (non Bose) work just to test it?

Yes, you can use any speaker just to see if sound comes out. However, most regular aftermarket car speakers are 4ohm and the Bose are 1ohm. That means that you will seriously overdrive a 4 ohm speaker and it will probably sound really really horrible You could wire 2 4ohm speakers in parallel to present 2ohms to the amp and it would be a tiny bit better.
