Gasket material

What are you trying to seal? I use Fel-Pro gaskets when ever I can. Get most of the gaskets and parts thru RockAuto. Occasionally I make my own gaskets and have a roll of thick blue gasket material. I also have a set of hole punches of various sizes. If I am going to use a sealer I often use Gasgacinch to glue one side of the gasket to the part and then use The Right Stuff. Anything that requires a sealant I always use The Right Stuff. Gave up on Silicone years ago. You ahve to wait 24 hours for Silicone to set, whereas The Right Stuff can be used immediately.

How about cork and some RTV black on one side? Who sells the blue gasket material? I have punch sets for holes but what are the correct ones?

All depends on what you're trying to seal inside. Air, Oil, Coolant... they all have very different viscosity and adding high/low temperature plus pressure changes the equation again.Sometimes just mating two surfaces calls for simple cork or a poly material.

Most auto parts stores will have gasket material on the shelf. You use the hole punches to punch the hole to match the size of the bolt going thru the gasket. I prefer the paper gasket material over cork.
