Default 2nd year Anniversary/Report

Well, had the vette for 2 years and almost 40K miles

Had to replace the clutch, windsheld, tires, battery, fluids many times, put in a short shifter, removed the mufflers, added some hash marks and tinted the windows.
Only left me stranded once(Stupid battery).

I've been shot at(see replaced windsheld), surrounded by the police(no I didn't steal this car), spun out through some weeds, almost killed in a 'vert corvette rollover, picked up some chics, ate some rice, go eaten by some vipers and ZO6s, had a great time and met a great bunch of fellow vette enthusiasts

Well, I recently almost sold my vette in favor of a C5, but I couldn't seem to sell my first car ever(Yeah this is the first car I've ever bought myself). I figure when the engine goes I'll just have to build a 383 and keep this one the rest of my life.

SOO.....
I decided to give my vette a treat.
C5 brake upgrade
ZO6 calipers (Thanks Jeff Kopp, GREAT Service FAST shippment)
Baer Eradispeed rotors all around (Thanks to The Vette Wrench)
And new GrandSport rims(AFS out of stock, grrr)

As soon as AFS gets the RIMS in stock, I can install everything and post some pics

And of cource Thanks to everyone on the forum, LOADS of good advice and a GREAT place to kill time at work

Congrats :yesnod: Sounds like you are having fun living the Corvette life style.
I am on my 4th Vette in 10 years, loved everyone of them, until I bought the next one. Everytime I have bought one, I say I will never sell it.
Drives my wife nuts, she never believes me anymore! :D

Was when I first bought the vette and the owner kept the license plates, so I was driving without license plates.
So, I had to show the vette off to my freinds right away, sooo
one of my freinds is following me, I stop at a stop sign, peal out and take off to about 80mph on a really wide(could hold 3 lanes) road, 35mph speed limit, at about 11pm on a saturday night.
WELLLLL, it turns out the car behind me wasn't my freinds
I see flashing lights and hear sirens coming up really fast behind me as I stop to wait for what I thought would be my freind.
So the cop screaches to a stop,
I can't see much because his lights and spot light are blinding me, within the next minute about 4 other cop cars come screaching up and they do the whole, "Driver, step out of the car"..."Driver, lay on the ground....BLAH BLAH BLAH"
I can't blame em, a corvette with no licence plates takes off like a bat outa hell when a cop car pulls up behind them.
Ended up with a FAT misdemeanor exhibition of speed, no front licence plate, no rear licence plate, no registration, etc etc etc ticket :U
