Not being able to drive his Corvette that is !

People here in Ohio are starting to get spring fever. I will admit that during 2 of the thaws we had with rain that washed the roads clean, I took mine out.

Today, I was at the local big box store and saw (and spoke) to the gentleman that had his out, and yes, there still is snow in the parking lots, but the roads are dry. A couple days ago, I saw someone with a late model out and about. Until there is some rain to wash all the anti-ice crud off the roads, I won't drive mine.

The other day though, on the other side of town, there was a whiteout and over 100 vehicles were involved in a massive pileup. My son says there are stacks of bumpers and vehicle parts piled up on the sides of the expressway. (Rt 8 north of Stow, Oh)

My Vette is a daily-driver, though being retired, I can usually avoid taking her out in the white stuff.

I too am eager for temps that stay in hi-30s to low 40s to end the damn snows.

I'll be waiting for the thaw + 3 days of dry weather. Car stuck in a garage with a soft driveway. Rutted up the drive way pretty good last year. When I sunk her in front of the garage door. LOL

I saw that pile up on the news, (I live in NE PA). Nasty mess, probably keeps the body shops and insurance people busy though.

I think a lot of people are getting anxious. Weather hasn't really broken here in the Chicago area, but I've seen a few Vettes on the road lately as well a few other miscellaneous collectibles. This morning going to work there was a light covering of snow on the ground and very light flurries. As I was about to turn into the parking lot, a late 50's, early 60's Plymouth, an exact duplicate of "Christine" except beige went by. Mint condition, absolutely perfect. I guess if you HAVE to drive it...

dhold on Dr cook. Temps here in Indy are suppoesed to be above freezing all week with some days of just sunshine. The Indy 500 is just 70 some days away so warmer weather is just around the corner. I went to charge tge battery on my 86 today that sitting in the driveway. Checked on location of charger, started looking for the extension cord when I heard a very large and extended crack of thunder. Its raining now, cats and dogs. 3?9/19

I'm starting to get anxious. In lean winters, I've driven my 'Vette through most of the winter. Here is my parking spot just outside my office when I worked at Telluride Ski Resort...

But this year? Holy ***, it's goin to be a while. My work has gotten 496" of snow, YTD. UTSCCA auto x starts in 10 HOURS!!! NFW am I getting my car down to SLC for the first event! Here is my yard...today.

...I don't think my 'Vette is going to make heat, until June this year.

I'w with you Dave. I've been getting super anxious to drive mine and truth be told, I'm looking to buy another LT1 6spd car. I've been looking every day for one that matches my list of wants and is in my budget. While at Wal-Mart yesterday, I saw a guy in a maroon colored (maybe dark red metallic) 94 cruising through the parking lot. The car sounded amazing and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. That man had the fever as well and I can't blame him. Hoping by the end of the month it will start warming up a little and the salt will be gone off of the roads.

I really wish that winter would just give up here in New York. Tired of seeing snow in my driveway, and not the toys. That damn groundhog was just playing with our heads this year...

It poured hard for hours last night. Once the roads and everything dries up, it will be good to go for driving, as long as there is not a relapse.

But as they say, if you don't like the weather in NE OH, wait an hour or 2.
