Default Code P36

I own a 1989 C4 Corvette with 54,000 miles and the problem I’m having is that it keeps tripping a Code 36. My mechanic and I have gone through the procedure in the shop manual and everything checks out, but yet it still trips. We have disconnected the battery and it clears but after maybe 6 times of starting it it will throw the code. Also dose out hurt the engine to drive it with the code tripped? Please tell me you have a fix for this?

Oiled filters ( K&N Amsoil, etc) can cause trouble with film in sensor. A known good sensor would be good. Sensor from a car that doesn't have codes to drive with long enough to confirm car or sensor. It's possible problem is with ECM.

Are all electrical connections to the relays & MAF solid with no corrosion?
