I guess I really like C4s
Back in 2016 I sold my 1969 Pontiac Custom S that I was not driving to cruise nights and shows too often because I had a 70 big block convertible C3 that I bought a couple years before. I was using the Pontiac to drive to work and run around on nice days. I had it for about 18 years and it was time for a change.
I thought a newer Vette would be fun to put in that role, but I was thinking C5 and did not really consider the C4. I looked at a couple and came close to buying one but the seller and I could not come together on the price. Also at this time we were starting some renovations on my house that were going cost a bit more than I expected so I needed to spend a bit less on another toy. So the C4 gets a close look. I found a nice 1 owner 91 6-speed coupe not too far away, and thought this is nice for bit less money.
So as time goes by I really like the 91, but start thinking maybe I want some minor mods like exhaust and wheels. But I start thinking If I'm going to own a C4 maybe I want to go higher up the C4 food chain. Now don't get me wrong my 91 is in really nice 54,000 mile original condition. But you know how it goes. I don't want to pay ZR1 money so LT4. I find a nice 96 on Long Island about 2 hours away from home and one thing leads to another.
So here we are 96 Arctic White, Beige interior, two tops, LT4 6-speed, 50,000 miles, $12,000.
Now White is not my first choice, and if I have to have White I wanted a red interior, but there are only so many cars that have what you are looking for.
I really don't want to part with the 91, my wife says keep it because it's "prettier" but I won't drive it much, and I need the garage space to put my 56 Chevy (that my wife HATES) back in so you will find it in the for sale section.
I can't understand why my wife dose not like the 56.

This! I built a big shop when I realized I was paying for 4 12x40 storage lockers for my cars/jeeps. I now only have one locker left and all my cars except one are now in my house. The last car is coming home this year but it will live under a tarp for a while. I should have built this thing years ago.

to me that looks like either a pontiac gto or pontiac lemans.
Btw. I got my grandpa’s 350 1972 pontiac lemans in 1993 at the age of 16. At a time when every one else had a 4 cylinder ford tempo or taurus - it was a great car !

Or a Bridgehampton Blue C3
I will get them all together for an photo op when I get time on a nice weekend. The question on the Custom S, I did have a 68 GTO front bumper on the car but it was not a GTO. In 68 there was a Tempest, Tempest Custom, LeMans, and GTO. For 69 There was Tempest, Custom S, LeMans and GTO. It was mostly a trim level, but two door Custom S was a hard top (no post), you could get a post coupe in the Tempest. My car was a 350 Pontiac with a Super Turbine 300 (2-speed) trans.

I had a couple of minutes before dinner to get a few pictures. Nothing is too clean and just a quickie setup. If next week is nice I might try to get out "on location" for some better shots. BTW '91 (red) still for sale.

Looks like a nice piece of land surrounded by forest. I miss that where I live. I live in the Black Hills and there are no hardwood trees here, just pines for miles.

How do you like the seats in the '96?
I had a '93 and found the seats to be very comfortable. I also had a super clean '96 CE LT4 car that I loved but wasn't fond of the seats. The seat bottoms felt very hard and my butt got sore on long trips.
I'd like to get another LT4 but wondering if it was just my car or of all of them have the harder seats.

I actually like the seats in my 91 better than in the 96. They are a little deeper and have more bolster. The seats in the 96 are the base seats, I like them better than the seats that have the stitching that goes diagonally across the seat, I guess the sport seats? But as far as comfort they are good.
