Last year I installed a new AIP opti, deleted the EGR, air injection and burned chip. After the work was done I have what looks to be an open loop situation, I get an SES after both fans kick on shortly after I start the car and the traction control will not turn off. If I recall correctly it gave me a low resolution code but the car runs fine. I tried changing the ECM and chip out but I have the same result. The car itself runs fine and I probably wouldn't worry about it but the fans are driving me nuts along with not being able to turn the traction control off. Any ideas?
Still sounds like the problem I have with an intermittent ECM. Did you replace it with a rebuilt ECM?
I had the original rebuilt but also bought a unit pulled from a 1993 with the same service number. I have tried the burnt chip and the two stock chips in both ECMs with the same results.

Sounds like you were very thorough with the ECM(s).
