I was watching a show this morning (I believe Lokar Car Show) and one of the cars featured was a fully restored '57 that the owner had transplanted the engine from a '91 ZR1 into it. It did not mention the rest of the running gear, except that it was "modernized".

That was a really cool car and a great use for the motor from a car that (probably) was wrecked.
