Not sure who did the tire change for you but they should pay for the sensor. I had Discount Tire break one on me and they paid for the replacement and were shocked at the price. They are hard to find and each one will cost $250 to $400 IF you can find one. Ebay will be your best bet.

that is who broke mine they said they would replace it if I could find one, but haven't found one yet, they say they are discontinued, I have been watching on Ebay but no luck, they told me that if I could find one they would pay for and give back the price of one tire, I buy all my tires there but if I can't get one for they won't sell me anymore

I was lucky to have one come up a week after they fractured the housing. Make sure you keep the old one and the steel strap. I have seen the strap sell for $100 and the circuit board in the old one should be good in case another one goes bad. It just will not tell you the correct tire that has an issue but it will let you know there is a problem. You may be without one for a while but make sure you get something in writing from them acknowledging that they will pay when you find one. It may take a couple of months.
Keep looking, and update your profile to show your city and maybe a local Corvette Club club member can help you out.

I might take a different approach with them. - having nearly 25 year old system and knowing they're NLA I might negotiate (or try) to get them to pay for and install maybe a newer Android or IOS system that's less money and likely also more reliable.I'm surprised that as old a system as the C4 is they actually accept responsibility - I understand their comment 'ONCE AND DONE'

The C4 would need to be 'something special' I'd think to consider maintaining the original system anyway.

A used that's DOA does neither of you any good!!!! Whose responsibility is that?
