At the top of this page under "Tools", you will see a link to the CF VIN Decoder. Just enter the VIN in the provided box.

MyCarfax app will also provide any reported maintenance history on a particular VIN.

Great site thanks guys. One question.... if it shows a recall does that mean it was taken care of??
Thanks

Hey! In fact, it is very simple, because all information related to the car can be collected in 3 stages. The VIN number of a car is somewhat similar to human DNA - once you check it, you can find out everything. I checked the car by VIN code for Epicvin. It's just a wine decoder that completely provided me with all the information about the car.

I would not click that link.

I would not click that link.

The poster has 1 post, just that link. Joined 1-15-23.
I reported the thread to be looked into as it is suspicious.
The profile says he/she is from PK (Pakistan)

I looked online to see if the link was for real and I cannot find anything that says it is or is not.

I just don't trust any link from a new, 1 post forum ID that only shows up to post that link and is non-Corvette related.

That TOOL link at the top of the page is not accurate. When I put in my VIN it tells me my car is a 2 dr. hatchback, not a ZR-1, with a price of about $31,000.

Yours is something 'other than' a 2 door hatchback?

**** Reading the 'documentation' that accompanies the 'tool' it looks as if you got what the 'tool' intended!
**** There's also likely a 'CARFax" link provided that would have I'd the '5th digit' identifier' as a ZR-1

WVZR-1 -- That TOOL should identify the car as a ZR-1, and a ZR-1 definitely did not have a $31,000 price tag while an ordinary C4 2 door coupe did.
Other sites. when I put in my VIN, do ID the car as a ZR-1.

The 'fine print/explanation' that accompanies the decoder (if you read), explains that digits 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are used 'differently' by manufacturers. The 'decoder' does NOT promise or hint that you'll be provided 'A WINDOW STICKER'!! Use whatever VIN check you like? I've never used the one in the 'tools' until you mentioned it doesn't work. It does work!!

You must have a different Forum than I do or a different "TOOL".
You said "The 'fine print/explanation' that accompanies the decoder (if you read), explains that digits 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are used 'differently' by manufacturers. The 'decoder' does NOT promise or hint that you'll be provided 'A WINDOW STICKER'!! "

My TOOL says absolutely nothing about digits 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, or that they are used 'differently' by manufacturers. And doesn't GM/Chevy use the same coding for all of its cars? My TOOL has absolutely misidentified my car and you cannot argue with me about that. And where do you get that I was expecting or looking for "A WINDOW STICKER"?

The fine print on mine says

We support 17-character VINs from 1981 to the present.
Note: This product is intended to provide a general description of the information generated by the entered vehicle's Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and some pieces of data may be general to that specific model and not entirely accurate for the vehicle specified.

So I'm glad the tool worked for you, it did not work for me, described the wrong car. My car is a 2dr hatchback (as are all ZR-1s) but absolutely did not have a $31,000 price tag, did yours?
Other sites when I input my VIN do identify it correctly as a ZR-1.

At this very moment vinpit worked fine for me. This VIN decoder free to all to learn more details. First check your browser for malware and dump your cookies. I use a crippled browser. VIN number decoder allows you to query a particular vehicle's VIN number and retrieve all dashboard information associated with the unique VIN, including registered owner name, title, frame number, engine and transmission details etc.
