The poster has 1 post, just that link. Joined 1-15-23.
I reported the thread to be looked into as it is suspicious.
The profile says he/she is from PK (Pakistan)
I looked online to see if the link was for real and I cannot find anything that says it is or is not.
I just don't trust any link from a new, 1 post forum ID that only shows up to post that link and is non-Corvette related.
**** Reading the 'documentation' that accompanies the 'tool' it looks as if you got what the 'tool' intended!
**** There's also likely a 'CARFax" link provided that would have I'd the '5th digit' identifier' as a ZR-1

Other sites. when I put in my VIN, do ID the car as a ZR-1.
The 'fine print/explanation' that accompanies the decoder (if you read), explains that digits 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are used 'differently' by manufacturers. The 'decoder' does NOT promise or hint that you'll be provided 'A WINDOW STICKER'!! Use whatever VIN check you like? I've never used the one in the 'tools' until you mentioned it doesn't work. It does work!!
You said "The 'fine print/explanation' that accompanies the decoder (if you read), explains that digits 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are used 'differently' by manufacturers. The 'decoder' does NOT promise or hint that you'll be provided 'A WINDOW STICKER'!! "
My TOOL says absolutely nothing about digits 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, or that they are used 'differently' by manufacturers. And doesn't GM/Chevy use the same coding for all of its cars? My TOOL has absolutely misidentified my car and you cannot argue with me about that. And where do you get that I was expecting or looking for "A WINDOW STICKER"?
The fine print on mine says
We support 17-character VINs from 1981 to the present.
Note: This product is intended to provide a general description of the information generated by the entered vehicle's Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and some pieces of data may be general to that specific model and not entirely accurate for the vehicle specified.
So I'm glad the tool worked for you, it did not work for me, described the wrong car. My car is a 2dr hatchback (as are all ZR-1s) but absolutely did not have a $31,000 price tag, did yours?
Other sites when I input my VIN do identify it correctly as a ZR-1.
