Default Weather strip fit problem

Just installed weather strip around the door, the bottom and rear area seem to be hitting hard.
So hard that the door doesn't close easily but rather I really have to slam it to get it shut. Will this eventually work itself in...or what??
Thanks,
Frank

Maybe depends on material. Extruded in denser material, it may take a while. Latex should " wear in" during the hot days of summer.

The new weather strip is just thicker at first and needs to compress to fit the opening. I had the same issue when I first replaced the weather strip around the doors on mine. After closing the doors and letting it sit a few days without opening them, the new weather strip conformed to the body and it opened and closed like normal again.
