I have to replace my shocks and are looking at
Ridetech and QA1 this is for a 1995 LT1
What would be your choice and why?
I would be using the car for cruising with the wife.

Thanks

I would chose Ridetech over QA1 every time. They use a monotube architecture with Fox-branded internals. In addition, they are easily adjustable for rebound so that you can dial them in how you want. For instance, if you have on the lower end of stiffness for cruising, and you want to try your hand at autocrossing someday, you can stiffen them up. I also think that their design allows for a more digressive rate, so that high speed events (talking about high suspension movement speeds and high shock piston speeds) are met with low damping rates, while low speed movement is damped with relatively high rates. The high-speed events generally correspond to bumps on the road, while low-speed events correspond to body movement caused by roll, squat, and dive. That generally predicts better ride comfort while still giving good pitch control.

Consider Bilstein shocks... they're very good shocks for street use and cruising. Ive tried Koni,Gabriel, Monroe and none compare to the ride quality Bilsteins provide.

+1 for Ridetech. I have the adjustable HQs, love 'em.
