Hood
Just some info that may help someone out there.
Was having slight problem with opening my hood,(HEAVY).
So I ordered the new small gas shocks...from Corvette Central...took awhile to recieve...
Installed yesterday....boy does my hood seem lighter to open...and it stays
open easily...

Just thought I would pass this info on...just incase anyone else is having the same problems as I had...($19.99ea. great price)..

Was this a change over to the shock being on the left hand side like the later models or just a mod for the existing right hand side mechanism? :blueangel:

No. These small shocks are in the middle part of the hood. ('84).
Otherwise I still have my stock (chromed) scissor type opener.....sometimes while working under the hood...if you bump this, the hood will fall down on your head...nasty....now with the new shocks...the problem has gone away...don't know about "Later Hoods"..
