Default More issues with my 90 vette

Ok so I had fuel leaking onto my engine from a couple injectors and noticed my thermostat housing was leaking. It was o rings that are shot for my injectors and my thermostat gasket was toast. Just picked up my car from those being fixed and drove it 7 miles to the gas station, filled it up and drove about another 10 miles when all the sudden it just died my foot was on the damn pedal. I tried to start it again floundered and nothing. Turned it all off. Waited a minute and then it fired right up and I drove it home and it was fine. Plenty of get up and go like nothing was wrong. Any ideas what would have caused that? About a month prior I replaced the idle air control valve, and 2 weeks ago I replaced my ICM. I’m baffled. Thanks in advance!! Any input will be appreciated.

Mike

Maybe the fuel pump? It’s just a guess from what you described.

If it happens again and you don't have a FP gauge with you, cycle the ign. on/off and depress the Schrader valve to see if there is any fuel in the rail.

Well come to find out I had fuel leaking from an injector onto my engine block. It was actually coming from the body of an injector which is probably rare. Back in the shop it went.

I did replace the injectors on my 1990 in 2000 I think. If it would have been in the Warrantee period Chevrolet would have covered them.I should have driven it more when I bought it.
