Be wary of racing cars with high redlines across short distances

That is great!
One time last year I took my c4 to work and was rolling then ripped the tires for a couple seconds for an old guy that loves the motor. A few seconds later I am still rolling at idle but good speed to not be an idiot on my work road and I hear a v6 trans-am leaving the stop sign and come up and struggle to get by me while coasting from a 3/4 throttle blip for less than 5 seconds. HILARIOUS to me. Felt kind of bad if the guy thought I was even acknowledging him and doing it at him. I guess I am shocked he would even consider that I was thinking of him.

In a C4 (even supercharged), I'd be wary of all racing cars and distances

I agree, a stockish S/C C4 will probably get beat on by a newer 5.0, but Diz is a wolf in sheep's clothing, he has a little more cubes/ power and maybe lighter weight that I am not sure about.

Unless you are racing for pink slips, I'm sure you will be OK whether you win, lose or draw. You will be beat. This is certain. If not today then tomorrow. Someone will be quicker than you. Short bursts cut down the risk of being caught as opposed to a long and high speed run.

We have a very special crowd in the section these days, lets lighten up a bit, just a story, no need to call in the internet police

I disagree. Hit someone and duct tape them to the hood. Mercedes has a 3 point star. Jaguar used to have that Jaguar image. Mack has that bulldog. Now, for the price of a few bucks of gas, you too can have your own hood ornament except this one is life sized. Sure, when it decomposes, you have to get another one but it's pretty cheap.
