My 95 did not came with keyless fob when I bought the car.
I’m not sure if car has the keyless, and just missing the fob or car do not have it from factory..
and even if it did have it, I don’t want to pay ~$150 for a key for that 24 years old keyless system that may or may not work.
so I decided to go with simple Avital keyless system with NO remote start or security system(don’t want either of them)
it has 2 basic output - lock, unlock, and aux 3rd and 4th channel output, which I plan to use 3rd to pop hatch, and may be 4th output to lower the windows(not sure on this yet)
anyway, looking at how door lock switch at driver side door is wired, it isn’t simple negative or positive triggered door lock(super simple to add keyless entry to it) like nearly all modern cars are anymore.
Then I remember GM Used to use a very antiquated door lock system all the way up to the mid 90’s Called a “5 wire reversal rest at ground “ or more commonly a “reversing polarity door lock”, which you’ll have to use couple of SPDT relays wired up in certain ways.
DEI sells this Prewired relay pack called 451m, so I planned to use this.
my questions is is there anyone knows how to positively check to see car has reversing polarity door lock as I’m

I did it on my 87 many years ago using relays to trigger, too long ago to remember details but was not hard just used fsm for wiring details
Mity2, I did my 89 in the fall of 2017. Check out my write-up here.
Same acital system im thinking about using. I’m going to use DEI 451M(pre built replay pack for lock/unlock.
i did not think about disabling alarm before pop the hatch open...I need to look in to that, as I presume my 95 does have alarm system as factory installed part

I put an aftermarket security system with keyless entry on my 85. What I noticed is when I arm the system (and lock doors) with the key fob when a door is open it will also arm the stock alarm, so when I walk up to the car and unlock with the key fob the stock alarm goes off until I put the key in the door and disarm it. When I arm (and lock doors) with the doors closed it does not arm the stock system.

More than likely, I’ll encounter the same issue as well. I do believe I have arlarm on my car(I think I set it off once when I first got the car)
there has to be someway to disarm oem system.
Inhave old school Designtech book that has all the wiring in it. I’ll look and see what/where that is...
it should have info info for the alarm disable using your keyless. This is how I have mine set up
@=Jeff= That link no longer works and I can't find anything on their site related to keyless entry. I'm wanting to install a basic Avital keyless entry. Do you happen have the write-up from Batee's site?

How did this install turn out? I'm wanting to install a basic Avital system as well. Can you provide any additional details on what you had to do? I too was going to use this relay in my car is a '90.

Thanks! I was going to use a 451M relay to help with polarity. I'd like the parking lights to flash when I lock and unlock the car and for the courtesy lights to come on when I unlock the car. I also want to be able to pop the hatch from the remote (it has the button/capability).
No rush, thanks for looking, I may not need it but will take all the docs I can. I emailed Batee and asked if they could email it to me but have not heard back as of yet. IHBD also gave me a very thorough write-up on installing the Avital 2101 that I think should get me all squared away for my install.
