Rear Bumper Damage

I was at a stop sign and someone tapped me with an SUV, can this be repaired or do I need to replace the bumper?

I make the person who tapped you repair your car new bumper or if shop can find used year bummer and paint, that hurts looking at that sorry for your pain

I had almost that exact same damage on my bumper years ago. Was a friend following me and caught me in an old boat car at a stop sign. He didnt have insurance and wasnt worth pursuing. Wasnt to bad to fix. Got one of those 3m bumper repair kits The one that came with a light metel mesh backing. Ground out the edges a bit. Used the bumper repair stuff to apply the mesh on the back side for strength and used it on the front to fill the cracks. Let it dry sanded it out smooth and primed and painted it. Just removed some screws on the bottom of the bumper so I could pull it out a bit to get behind it and repaired it on the car

That sounds good rather than getting a aftermarket bumper that might not fit proper, hopefully I can get a close paint match

If it's your pride and joy/super low mileage/show car then you should consider a new bumper. But if it's a daily/weekend driver than a repair would suffice if it was me.
