I always ask the inspector if they know how to lift it. This inspector was same as last time so I didn't do that this time.
Body shop said this won't be cheap for them, LOL
In Arizona, the state emissions inspection damaged my '85. They stab a sensor into the exhaust tip, but missed and stabbed it into the rear bumper. It scratched it. They weren't going to say a thing, but I saw it happen. I raised a fuss about it and finally got to the manager of that state inspection station. They reluctantly agreed they damaged the car. From then I just had to get estimates and they paid the claim.
It really sucks when the state mandates you take it there and then they damage it.
