Chuck luck strikes again .. I want to replace my motor mounts and 6 speed tranny mount on my 1992 vette .I looked everywhere and cant find the tranny mount .Anybody out there know where I can get a mount for my tranny .Thanks in advance
The tranny is bolted to the motor. The tail shaft is connected to the front of the C-beam which connects to the differential. There is no transmission mount.
OK thanks you would think some parts guys would know that ,not even summit racing knew.i miss the 70s.If I could pick your brain a little more first I was told you remove the exhaust manifold to change the motor mounts from up top instead of on your belly,do you agree??? if so might as well throw on some headers right ,can you suggest what long tubes to get thats not a pain to install I've heard some horror stories .is 48mm TB enough for long tubes and borla exhaust or go to 52mm.,,gonna go 383 and cam ,work the heads soon as the budget allows..sounds like your the guy to help me on that when the time comes..thanks again you guys are a great help

You mentioned motor mounts which made me wonder if your C-beam mounts are maybe in need of attention. If the front end of the beam gets loose, typically the gear shift will lift under hard accelleration, and also cause the rear end to kick out when launching (i.e., drag strip). (You may be in need of C-beam plates from ZFdoc.com )
