Engine Problem

1995 lt1 engine. the starter labors to start when engine is hot.

Check your battery condition. You may need a new one.

I had a starter on a 79 Z28 that used to get heat soak for a few weeks before I finally replaced it. Battery would be my first place to check though

w/ the above (battery check). But, I also experienced a very labored starting phenomenon when restarting when hot. Turned out to be the STARTER. It worked fine when cold. The shop told me "no problem found". But, they didn't test the damn thing when it was HOT. That's when the issue showed up (common to electrical windings when they fail. "Thermal-related", as it were)...
