Need to replace a power window switch?
The second one tells you you don't have to do that. You can take out the six screws from the center console, the console door and then carefully lift the center plastic up enough to get under there and replace the switch.
I just did this today and tried the second option, easy peasy and done in about 1/2 hour total. If you are careful about it and take your time, it can be done with no damage or scratches. The biggest pain is the holding the connector while plugging the new switch in because it isn't mounted to anything so there is nothing to push against. I ended up turning the connector at different angles until I found a way to pull it up through the hole enough to hold in place with a screw driver and was able to plug the new switch in.
Total cost, about $10 for an AC Delco switch. Now I can roll down my passenger window
