Headlight problems

Just bought 84 corvette headlights come on then 5 seconds light goes out. Had alternater tested thats fine. Please help loosing my mind.

Anytime you have wiring to a moving part, you can develop problems.
Check for loose connections.
Then check for a break in the wiring somewhere.

Headlight switch has a breaker in there.
Careful, it's like an inch away from a big sheet of styrofoam (flammable!)

You need to pull the dash pad to change the switch.

Also the 84 runs the fog lights through the switch, if you put too much load on there...

My headlight switch smoked at one point, when i removed it i was pretty sure there was a small fire for a few seconds.
