84 steering

Default 84 steering
Hello
I recently replaced the power steering rack on my 84
Now that it's in I'm having trouble connecting the steering column to the rack
Looks pretty straight forward but I've spent quite a bit of time with no luck
Anyone have any thoughts,is there a trick

What's the problem?
(Assuming pinch bolt is removed.)
Splines too tight? Wedge them open a little with a screwdriver in the slot.

I hope your anti-vibration pin is in the center of its hole, like this?
