Random stalling. Just shuts off
Just an FYI on a stalling issue I had a very hard time fixing. First issue was I would turn on the key and all 8 injectors would open and dump fuel in to the cylinders and run in to the oil sump. "Not good". Thought it was the fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump relay, bad ground etc. Ended up removing intake plenum, fuel rail, fuel pump plus other stuff I can't remember. Put back together and it would run but it would randomly shut off. Just like I turned off the key. Last thing to replace was the ecm so I got an after market one and it ran like a bag of crap, got another one and it wouldn't even start!! Couldn't get one from a wrecker anywhere in North America. I am in Canada. Did some enquiries and was told the only thing to do was get the original ecm rebuilt by a professional. There is nowhere in Canada to get that done. I ended up sending it to Zip Corvette in Mechanicsville Virginia. Got it back and it now runs like a Swiss watch. No more issues with anything. Thankyou Zip.
