Default turn signal indicator

Has any one out there seen or heard of this?... The turn signal arrows on display of my 89 drop top work fine when the car is in the garage but don't work when I take the car outside. Fortunately the body signals are still working . I would normally expect a photocell dimmer circuit or a defective relay as the culprit. Anyone have Ideas for causation or trouble shooting?

I think you've identified the problem. Those TS lights are a bit on the dim side. You might try fitting some aluminum foil behind the lamps to act as reflectors, to brighten things up a bit! Does anyone know if there are LED lamps available that would fit?

I believe the xenon lamps are only for illumination of the display, not for the turn signal indicators.
