Default 1989 C4 Radio Mast Removal

Hi everyone, I have a 1989 C4 corvette and I am trying to replace the power antenna mast. The antenna does not come up at all anymore but I can hear the motor spinning when the radio is turned off/on. I have removed the RR inner fender liner and accessed the power antenna motor. It appears to be wired in with no connectors that I can see to unplug it. I’ve heard that it’s possible to take it apart and remove the old antenna bits and reassemble but I’m a little lost as to what exactly I need to do now. What is the proper procedure for removing the antenna from the motor? I greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

I would try U-Tube I remembering seeing someone post a video when I owned a C4 with antenna issues?

I also remember inside the rear above the wheel well, under the carpet is quick discount for the antenna and then remove the grommet and the wire sliding out of the wheel well!

The plug for the unit plugs into a relay under the deck trim next to the release handle. Unscrew ant wire at the antenna, then pull the wire harness through the body and out the bottom. Don't forget to put a string on the plug end so you can easily pull it back up through the body after repair
