Default Bubbles appearing after recent paint

I really need some input from the members.I had body work and paint done to my 84 about 3 months ago.Since then I have had to take it back twice and now it is going to be a third time due to bubbles appearing on the paint. Is the problem a chemical reaction to filler and paint, does something have to be done before painting it or is it the preparation before painting? Is there something special that has to be done to prepare fiberglass for painting.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

It sounds like bad prepwork. There is a reason why these cars are so expensive to paint properly, the cost exceeds the value of the car.

well some sort of reaction is going on. without seeing pictures of the actual finish, it's hard to say what's going on. are they actual bubbles? there is a reaction called "solvent pop" where as, there was insufficient flash time between coats. solvent trapped in the paint or clear, works it way to the top and "pops." for the most part, they tend to look like microscopic craters in the top coat and not bubbles. I would think actual bubbles are caused from gassing or a reaction from dissimilar products. post the question over on the paint/body forum - address forum member "DUB" - 35 years in corvette body and paint - pretty sure he's seen it all -

A lot of the time that's the result of insufficient cure time for the primer.

Really should post in body and paint. I wouldn't be surprised to have to strip, seal, and repaint.

I wonder if they used a chemical stripper. That's a big problem on SMC cars. It will keep popping up for years.

i had bubbles appear on a new paint job 6 months after.
found out it was the detailer using the wrong chemicals causing a reaction to the clear/paint that was used.
when the car was buffed out

could this be happening to yours?
i dont know, but dont rule it out

Was there fiberglass work done? If so, they painted before it fully cured. Very common with shops that aren't used to working with fiberglass cars.

If not, then either painted to fast or chemical reaction. I doubt the last one as any shop worth anything used the same brand products for all steps to prevent reactions and get best finish.
