Multiple problems......
I just picked up a 95 coupe took it to Chico on the way back to Almanor the starter caught fire white smoke everywhere fried the battery. wiring looks alright. had it towed home, Questions do you think it hurt the electrical systems? The other thing is the top is in the back and I can't open the hatchback is there another way to open the hatch back without power?

If you crawl through to the back there should be a cable hanging down under the trim / carpet close to the center to release the hatch.
As i was typing this I realized you said the top was in the back. Not sure how you would do it other than seeing if you can disconnect the starter and try using another battery to energize.
