1990 corvette computer failing

1990 corvette computer failing
When i took my 1990 too the smog shop they said they tried to smog it but the computer or the ECU or ECM wouldn't work. They told me i need to replace the computer in it and i was wondering if anybody share some advice on what i should do. How much would it cost to get a replacement?

Any other symptoms besides them not being able to make it talk? Is OBD1 supposed to go through the emissions? 29 year old car? Unless you live in the land of fruit and nuts or similar.
